THE WOMAN BEHIND IT ALL
Howdy there! It is so lovely to meet you!
Thank you for checking out my website.
My name is Jade Renée Garnett and I'm a 26-year-old born and bred Kentuckian. But for now, I reside in the most magical place in the world, New York City.
I am a creative at heart and thrive on collaborating with the most talented and inspiring individuals in the industry. That’s why I’m proud to be an agent at the renowned talent agency—WME. In my role, I have the privilege of representing an incredible array of speakers, including comedians who bring laughter to the stage, actors who captivate audiences with their performances, chefs who inspire through culinary storytelling, and authors who share compelling narratives that leave lasting impressions. Helping these extraordinary individuals share their stories and talents with the world is not just my job—it’s my passion.
I've been a Researcher at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a Production Assistant for NBC News, an intern for the TODAY Show and MSNBC, a Production Assistant on America's Got Talent, a writer for a New York City content creator, and a Marketing & Event Coordinator at a tech company.
Academically speaking, I have a Master of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in Journalism and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky.
On the side, I am a runner who is training for her first marathon (the New York City Marathon, of course!) and I have take improv classes at the People's Improv Theatre in Manhattan, write freelance for The Page Edit (@annawpage), Business Insider, and TODAY, where I cover lifestyle, travel, home, interior design, self care, food, and business (all of my favorites!)
All of this in mind, my dream has been to work in media and the editorial world in some form and facet. I absolutely love writing, anything from essays about interior design to comedy sketches, and also working behind the scenes on set or in a control room, assisting the creative director in making a project come together. I also love working with people and communicating a vision to action. My mind is constantly creating, constantly pondering on my future, and ready to work and learn from the best and the brightest in this world.
But really, I just want to be happy. I want to live my life to the fullest.
My father, who is a mortician, always talked about this anecdote about the dash in between one's birth date and death date on a gravestone. He said that the dash is so much more than an indention in a concrete stone; it is your life. Every laugh, every tear, every moment - so make it worthwhile while you are here and live in every moment.I promise myself to do that and I encourage others to do the same.
Please reach out anytime! I hope to work together sometime in the future. Or better yet, become friends!
All the best,
Jade
